The South African Police Service in Lephalale are investigating a case of inquest following the discovery of a corpse of a 10-year-old boy, who was found in the shack burnt beyond recognition on Sunday 02 July 2023 at about 00:30 at Marapong Ext 3 Manamela Park Squatter camp.
The police received information about the burnt body of a 10-year-old boy after her mother left him in another room with her 17-year-old sister, who later left him alone at night. It is still not yet known as to what caused fire .
Limpopo Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said according to reports, Emergency Services and Police were summoned to the scene, and on their arrival they found the boy was deceased . “He was certified dead at the scene, and identified as Moshi Matsobane Bradly”.
Meanwhile, Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe cautioned parents to take extra care of their children, particularly during the winter season.
