NUMSA members to picket outside North Gauteng High court to demand an end to load-shedding

Members of the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa, (NUMSA) will be staging a demonstration outside the North Gauteng High Court to demand an end to load-shedding.

NUMSA Spokesperson Phakamile Hlubi-Majola said the court case to end load-shedding began on the 20th of March and was online. “The remaining two days will be heard in open court”.

Hlubi Majola added that the United Democratic Movement (UDM), Health and Allied Workers Indaba Trade Union (HAITU), Build One South Africa (BOSA), and the South African Federation of Trade Unions (SAFTU) and others, are part of this multi-stakeholder court application.

“The hearings are continuing from 22 March until the 24th of March 2023”.
