The Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) in Gauteng Province released a statement on Sunday, 12 February 2023, informing residents, businesses and public transport associations of the party’s intended National Shutdown on the 20th of March 2023.
EFF Gauteng Secretary Moshe Koma said as such, all schools, retail stores, businesses and public roads will be shut down.
“This national shutdown is a cry to rescue the future of this country and all its citizens, we demand a steady supply of electricity and call for the resignation of Cyril Ramaphosa. This day must be seen for what it is, a day of freedom where all the people join hands to protect this nation”.
Koma said they call on all residents of Gauteng to join the picket lines, “for enough is enough”.
