Drug dealers arrested following a shoot-out with the police

The Police in Seshego arrested a 23-year-old suspect for alleged possession of and dealing in illicit drugs at Seshego Zone 4 Extension. The local members of crime prevention were on patrol duties when they received information about three suspects who were sitting in a motor vehicle and selling drugs.

Limpopo police spokesperson  Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the police cautiously approached it and suddenly, the suspects allegedly started firing at the Police and immediately pulled off.

“The Police returned fire and punctured one of the rear wheels. The suspects proceeded to drive towards Extension 76 on the outskirts of Polokwane where two of them jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot into the darkness. The third suspect who was a passenger was arrested.

“During the process of arrest, the police confiscated crystal meth and cat drugs”. The suspects will appear before the Seshego Magistrate court soon. Police investigations are continuing.
