The Hawks from Durban Serious Organised Crime Investigation on Friday arrested a 34-year-old suspect for dealing in drugs at Phoenix.
KwaZulu Natal Spokesperson Captain Simphiwe Mhlongo said members received information about drug dealing activities at Tashmeera Gardens in Phoenix. “An operation was planned and executed in the said flats. Upon searching the premises, mandrax tablets and heroin capsules to the street value of approximately R506 900.00 were found.”
Mhlongo said the suspect was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with dealing in drugs. The suspect is expected to appear in the Verulam Magistrate’ Court on Monday, 28 November 2022.
