The African National Congress (ANC) in Kwa Zulu Natal says as they move towards the 55th National Conference, the party is mounting a very energetic campaign to ensure the ascendency of Dr Zweli Mkhize as the President of the ANC.
ANC KZN Secretary Bheki Mtolo said this is a campaign to save state enterprises that are collapsing and those that are being privatized.
Motolo added that this is a campaign to end load-shedding that has crippled the economy and plunged this country into an economic crisis. “This is a campaign for the upliftment of the poor people of this country, the majority who are black and Africans in particular. Critically, a vote for Dr Zweli Mkhize will not be just a blind support”.
Mtolo added that a vote for Dr Zweli Mkhize from each delegate attending the National Conference – will be a vote for equal access to economic opportunities for all – young and old – urban or rural.
Members of the ANC, in their ANC colours and in huge numbers, will attend events to be addressed by Mkhize this weekend.
