The Police in Schoemansdal are investigating a murder case whereby a 24-year Mozambican national was allegedly stabbed to death by his fellow countryman on Thursday 25 August 2022.
It is alleged that both the deceased and the suspect were working for one employer at building construction and they were also renting the same house in Boschfontein.
Mpumalanga Police Spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said according to information at their disposal, the victim and the suspect had an argument and they never got along for about four days over the suspicions that one used the other one’s bedroom. “They were last seen together on Wednesday, but still not on good terms. On Thursday, when the deceased’s friend could not see him for the whole day, he decided to visit him and was shocked to find him in a pool of blood where he was later certified dead by medical personnel”.
Mohlala said a murder weapon was also found next to the deceased. Police request Edson Salvadon to assist police with the investigation or anyone who might know his whereabouts to contact Captain Busi Kunene on 082 448 9521.
