Six people died of Coronavirus in South Africa over the last 24 hours bringing the total deaths to 101 604. The country recorded 995 new Covid-19 cases.
The Department of Health reported that 14,102 active Covid -19 cases have been identified in South Africa. So far, 3,870,895 people in the country have recovered from covid-19 which translates to a 97.1% recovery rate. South Africa recorded 3,986,601 positive cases. So far, 25,597,242 tests have been conducted.
The health department conveyed condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thanked the health workers who treated the deceased.
People are urged to continue adhering to the health protocols put in place: washing hands with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitiser and always maintaining social distance.
