Four people died of Coronavirus in South Africa over the last 24 hours bringing the total deaths to 101 317. The country recorded 1,127 new Covid-19 cases.
The Department of Health reported that 30,551 active Covid -19 cases have been identified in South Africa. So far, 3,836,337 people in the country have recovered from covid-19 which translates to a 96.7% recovery rate. South Africa recorded 3,968,205 positive cases. So far, 25,366,781 tests have been conducted.
The health department conveyed condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thanked the health workers who treated the deceased.
People are urged to continue adhering to the health protocols put in place: washing hands with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitiser and always maintaining social distance.
