Hazyview Magistrate Court found Nozipho Precious Mabuza (34) guilty of Contravention of Section 133 of the National Credit Act, Act 34 of 2005.
Mabuza was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment or R 5 000 fine, wholly suspended for 5 years on the condition she is not found guilty on similar charges in the future.
Mpumalanga Hawks spokesperson Dineo Sekgotodi said Mabuza was arrested during a search and seizure operation on 04 November 2021 in Hazyview Humelela Cash loans by the Hawks Serious Commercial Crime Investigation team based in Nelspruit together with National Credit Regulators.
“Over 500 Bank cards, Cash of R 36 730.00, SASSA cards and ID documents of clients were found and seized from her premises.”
