Four more people died of Coronavirus in South Africa over the last 24 hours bringing the total deaths to 100 355. The country recorded 4 146 new Covid-19 cases.
The Department of Health reported that 37 860 active Covid -19 cases have been identified in South Africa. So far, 3,640,571 people in the country have recovered from covid-19 which translates to a 96.3% recovery rate. South Africa recorded 3,780,444 positive cases. So far, 24,423,181 tests have been conducted.
The health department conveyed condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thanked the health workers who treated the deceased.
People are urged to continue adhering to the health protocols put in place: washing hands with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitiser and always maintaining social distance.
