Premier Soccer League chairperson Dr Irvin Khoza on Tuesday confirmed that football can return to the stadiums. Khoza said the league has earmarked the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals that will take place between 8-10 April to have fans. “The Executive Committee formulated guidelines and stressed the importance of adhering to rules for its member clubs.”

Khoza said the league was unable to allow football fans to return to stadiums effective immediately because of issues of compliance among others.

He added that the Executive Committee formulated guidelines and stressed the importance of adhering to rules for its member clubs.“It will be difficult to open this coming weekend because all matches have already been categorised.

He further said several categorised matches have to be re-categorised, and that responsibility lies with clubs and not the league.
