A 58-year-old business owner of Faduk Cash Loans in Bushbuckridge, Johnson Fakude, his wife, Gift Matsane (50), and their two daughters, Princess Fakude (11) and Priscilla Fakude (08) were shot dead on Tuesday.
It is reported that on Tuesday night at around 19h30, neighbours heard gunshots coming from the house of the said business owner at Rebone in Casteel near Bushbuckridge.
Mpumalanga Police spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said thereafter, two men were seen jumping over a wall towards the direction of R40 Road then disappeared into the darkness. “All the victims had gunshot wounds. Police opened a case with four counts of murder hence the manhunt for suspects”.Mohlala said the motive for the killing is unknown at this stage.
The Police in Bushbuckridge are urging anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the suspects to contact the Branch Commander, Detective Colonel Dumisani Mbokane on 082 556 5630 or call the Crime Stop number on 08600 10111.
The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has since ordered the swift arrest of the suspects. “Those suspects must be hunted down and be brought to book immediately”.
