The police in Polokwane arrested two suspects and confiscated drugs worth over four million rands on Friday afternoon.
The police received information about the presence of drug dealers at Thornhil suburb of Polokwane and on arrival at the identified premises, they found a 24-year-old woman. When searching the house, the police found heroine and Crystal meth drugs worth R4.2 million rands.
Limpopo Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said a foreign National believed to be the woman’s boyfriend allegedly fled the scene after realising that the police were approaching the premises.
“The operatives proceeded to the next identified house in the same estate and arrested a 50-year-old man”. The police found drugs worth over R400 000.00. The suspect’s motor vehicle was also seized”.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Major General Jan Scheepers, who visited the scene together with the Deputy Provincial Commissioner responsible for Crime Detection, has praised the officers for promptly reacting to the information which led to the arrest and confiscation of huge quantities of drugs.
The suspects will appear in Polokwane magistrate court on Monday 07 March 2022. More arrests are expected.
