A 30-year-old foreign national was arrested for allegedly dealing in drugs and Contravention of the Immigration Act on Wednesday 16 February 2022 in Seshego, Extension 73 outside Polokwane.
Police received information about the suspect who was allegedly dealing in drugs in the vicinity and immediately executed an intelligence-driven operation which led to his arrest.
Limpopo Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said the suspect was arrested at his rented house after being found in possession of drugs with an estimated street value of R8000.00 concealed in the premises. “Sachets containing crystal myth, nyaope and a blender containing nyaope drugs were seized during the arrest.”
Mojapelo said an additional charge of Contravention of Immigration Act was also preferred against the suspect after it was discovered that he has been residing in the country illegally.
The suspect is expected to appear in Seshego Magistrate court soon.
