Three people were killed and the fourth one seriously injured in the Seshego policing area outside Polokwane.
In the first incident that took place on Monday 07 February 2022 in Masesha Spookpak, the Police were notified about the discovery of the body of an unknown man in this area.
Limpopo Polie Spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said upon arrival at the scene, the deceased was found with multiple injuries. “Prelimenary investigations indicated that he might have been killed somewhere and dumped in this area.”
In another incident that took place later on the same day at midday in Kwena Moloto phase 3, a group of people reportedly attacked and assaulted two men who managed to escape. One of the victims was certified dead.
Mojapelo said in the latest incident, a 20-year-old man was also assaulted to death in Moletjie Ga-Makgokgwane on Tuesday 08 February 2022 after community members allegedly accused him of theft.
Limpopo Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has strongly warned community members to refrain from taking the law into their own hands and to instead cooperate with the police in the fight against crime.
The suspects in all these incidents are still unknown and there are no arrests.
