A 47- year- old suspect appear Malamulele Magistrate court on Monday after he was arrested for allegedly killing his 31 years old girlfriend.
It is alleged that the suspect visited his girlfriend at Shitlhelani village on Friday 04 February 2022 and an argument ensued.
Limpopo Police Spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said the suspect then produced a knife and allegedly stabbed her several times. “The victim was rushed to hospital but she succumbed to the injuries on arrival. The Police were notified and the suspect was then arrested.”
Mojapelo said the motive behind the murder is still pending as Police investigations are still unfolding.
Limpopo Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has commended the Police for their swift response in arresting the suspect and has urged community members to seek professional assistance when experiencing any relationship challenges.
