The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has ordered an immediate investigation into the brutal murder of a woman whose body was found on Sunday morning in Maake policing area.
The body which was burned beyond recognition was found in the bushes next to the gravel road leading to a river in the area.
Limpopo Police Spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said the police were called and on arrival, they found the charred remains of an unknown woman. “The victim had beads that are normally worn by traditional healers. She was burned at the same place.”
Police Commissioner is calling on anyone with information to come forward and assist the police in this investigation to enable a speedy detection of this gruesome murder. The motive for this horrendous crime is unknown at this stage and a manhunt for the suspect(s) has already begun.
