21 undocumented Zimbabweans arrested during a joint law enforcement operation

North West Police and Immigration officials arrested twenty-one (21), undocumented Zimbabwean citizens, during a joint law enforcement operation on Wednesday on the N4, in Swartruggens.

Twenty males of various ages and a female used the Skilpadshek border, Zeerust to enter South Africa from Botswana.

The MEC for the North West Department of Community Safety and Transport Management, Sello Lehari applauded law enforcement authorities for a job well done.MEC Lehari encouraged everyone using  South African ports of entry to possess legal travelling documents to avoid landing on the wrong side of the law.

“With the world still in the middle of a pandemic, we cannot afford to take a chance. We know that these are our brothers and sisters but the law has to take its cause”.

All the arrested suspects will appear in court soon.
