Thirty more people died of Coronavirus in the country over the last 24 hours, bringing the total deaths to 91 228. The country recorded 4 379 new Covid-19 cases.
The Department of Health reported that 184 191 active Covid -19 cases have been identified in South Africa. So far, 3 197 017 people in the country have recovered from covid-19 which translates to a 92.1% recovery rate. South Africa recorded 3 472 436 positive cases.
The health department conveyed condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thanked the health workers who treated the deceased.
People are urged to continue adhering to the health protocols put in place: washing hands with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitiser and always maintaining social distance.
