A family of four in Moeka village, in Northwest Province, was left homeless after their shack burnt to ashes during the early hours of Sunday morning.
In a statement issued by Moretele Community, it said according to an eye witness who is also a neighbour, the fire destroyed everything leaving behind damages estimated at thousand of Rands. “Investigations to establish the cause of the fire are underway.”
The Mayor for Moretele Local Municipality, Masango Manyike is on a campaign to assemble a good Samaritan who can help a distraught family. “Fortunately he managed to lure a good local contractor who indicated keenness to assist to rebuild the shack. The municipality has already arranged counselling for the affected family.
