A 30-year-old suspect will appear in the Middelburg Magistrate Court on Monday 13 December 2021 for attempted cash in transit. He was arrested by members of the Hawks Serious Organised Crime Investigation Team and Tactical Operations Management Services in Mpumalanga on Friday 10 December 2021.
The arrest followed after information was received about the whereabouts of a wanted suspect on Blinkpan Attempted Cash In Transit case which happened in November 2021.
Captain Dineo Lucy Sekgotodi of Mpumalanga Hawks said on arrival at the identified house, the team found one male and it was discovered that the person was not the one they are looking for.
“After further investigation, the team was taken to another house in Mondeor where the wanted suspect was found and arrested for Attempted CIT.”
Sekgotodi added that it was established that the suspect was circulated as wanted in Seshego in Limpopo Province for a robbery case that happened in March 2021.
