Katlehong Police detectives are investigating a shooting incident, following two people murdered and more than ten are hospitalized.It is alleged that on Thursday night, 02 December 2021 at Moleleki ext2 at Nobakhethwa street, a group of people were having a party during the opening of a Car Wash.
Captain Kay Makhubela of Gauteng police said people were drinking alcohol, dancing to music, when an alleged BMW vehicle with unknown registration arrived. “About four passengers an African male, from the BMW, came out carrying guns. Without any words, they started to shoot randomly at the group of people.”
Mkhubela added that one African male aged 29 died on the scene, the other victim aged 25 years old died on arrival at Ramokonopi West Clinic and more than ten victims were taken to the local hospital, all with gun wounds on their bodies. Victims cell phones and wallets were stolen. Police opened a case of murder, attempted murder and armed robbery for investigation.
