The Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Gwede Mantashe, on Monday, announced the adjustment of fuel prices based on current local and international factors with effect from the 1st of December 2021.
Petrol will go up by eighty-one cents per litre and diesel will increase by seventy-two point five cents per litre (72.50c)
Illuminating Paraffin will increase by forty-two cents per litre. The latest price increase will push the price of petrol – currently around R19.50 a litre – to above R20 .
In November, petrol prices were increased by R1.21, while diesel increased by R1.48.
