Learner stabbed to death

The Limpopo Departments of Social Development and Education has dispatched teams of social workers to start with the provision of psychosocial support to the family of a grade 11 Magoletša High School learner who was stabbed to death after a fight broke out among learners in Medingen village in Limpopo.

It is alleged that the learner stabbed the other two learners who are now admitted in Kgapane hospital.

MEC Nkakareng Rakgoale and Polly Botshielo said social workers will also extend the same service to the school for learners to cope well, as they are currently sitting for their end of the year exams. Rakgoale has come out guns blazing against this killing said that “it’s an indication that social ills such as substance abuse and bullying are still persistent in some parts of the province”.

No one has been arrested. The police are investigating a case of murder.
