Sundowns players on Monday morning received their jabs. The Gauteng Provincial Government said it is pleased and welcomed the active participation of the PSL teams in the #COVID19 vaccination rollout programme.
Starting this week, both football players and technical team members at Mamelodi Sundowns and TS Galaxy Football Clubs will be vaccinated.
Gauteng government said the decision by the PSL football teams to take the COVID-19 vaccination publicly is significant and it is in line with the return to play social mobilisation programme launched by the government and social partners last week.
“Vaccination will help us return to the things we love such as attending sporting, cultural, religious and entertainment events of our choice safely.”
