Democratic Alliance (DA) Leader John Steenhuisen, DA Shadow Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development Annette Steyn, DA North West Provincial Leader Leon Basson and DA North West Provincial Chairperson, Luan Snyders will on Monday, 30 August 2021 start a week-long tour of the embattled ANC-led North West Province.
The DA said seven municipalities have been placed under administration due to failed governance, collapsed service delivery, cadre deployment, high unemployment and severe economic decline.
Steenhuisen added that all municipalities in the North West are either “dysfunctional at best, or on the verge of total collapse.”
The DA Leader will engage with residents across the province, engaging with numerous stakeholders and business leaders, “to see the extent of the issues first-hand and share the DA’s vision of quality service delivery and how we can work towards a better future for residents.”
