Three people died in a head-on crash

Three people were killed and one seriously injured in a head-on collision involving two sedans, A VW Polo and a Ford on the R71 outside Phalaborwa in Mopani. The accident happened around 02h30 in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It is alleged that the driver of a VW Sedan lost control of the vehicle and collided with the on-coming ford. Drivers of both vehicles and a passenger were certified dead on the scene. One passenger who escaped with serious injuries was rushed to the nearest hospital.

Limpopo Transport and Community Safety MEC, Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya has sent messages of condolences to the families of the three people but She is also worried about motorists who continue to disobey lockdown rules and curfew hours.
