Suspects arrested for torching houses

The police in Limpopo arrested 15 suspects aged between 18 and 41 on Wednesday, in connection with the alleged burning of houses in Ravele village under Tshilwavhusikhu policing area.

Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo of Limpopo Police said five houses were torched on Tuesday night,08 June 2021 by unknown people, “allegedly complaining about the murder cases that were previously committed in the area.”

Limpopo police Commissioner General Thembi Hadebe strongly condemned these incidents of mob justice.

The suspects will appear in Tshilwavhusikhu magistrate court soon, facing five counts of Arson.

Mojapelo said more arrests are possible as police investigations are continuing.
