The Limpopo side Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) were crowned 2021 Nedbank Cup Champions on Saturday evening after beating Chippa United 1-0 at the Free State Stadium.
Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo, who was awarded Man of the Match, gave the Limpopians something to smile for. His only goal was enough to allow TTM to bag R7 million.
TTM started to make their intentions clear in the first half and put pressure to the Chippa players. It was on the 27th minutes when Ndlondlo shot from a long range and it was deflected to give the TTM a lead.
The lead was defended until the 90th minute. As expected, the referee started dashing out yellow cards for TTM players just after 90 minutes.
This win means that TTM will play at the CAF Confederation Cup and they will also get a sport centre.
The TTM coach, Dylan Kerr said he is happy with the boys and this win will boost the confidence of his players. Meanwhile United coach Heric Vladislav said he will now deal with the players to come back. He further said that they played well and said it is just unfortunate they didn’t score.
