Sixty-seven more people died of Coronavirus in South Africa over the last 24 hours, bringing the total deaths to 54 687. Gauteng recorded 13 deaths, Northern Cape 10, Western Cape 10, KwaZulu-Natal 5 and Limpopo 26 and Mpumalanga 2.
The tests conducted to date is 10 831 738.The recovery now stands at 1 513 202 which translates to a 95% recovery rate.
People are urged to continue adhering to the health protocols put in place: washing hands with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitiser and always maintain social distance.
The health department conveyed condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thanked the health workers who treated the deceased.
