“Stop us if you can”, this should be a dare from Mamelodi Sundowns to every team in South Africa and Africa. This comes after Kabo Yellow nation thrashed Orlando Pirates 4-1 in the Nedbank Cup Last 8 on Thursday night at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

Sundowns’ lithal striker Peter Shilulile opened the scoreboard on the 12th minutes of the game. However, the Buccanneers had a fightback spirit and managed to equalise through Tshegofatso Mabasa on the 33rd minutes.

The Bucs started creating more chances but failed to convert them. This made the game to the half time with 1 all score.

In the second half, Sundowns did not waste time and took a lead through Themba Zwane in the 49th minutes. Mshishi’s goal opened the floods of goal from the host.

Barely a minute in the pitch, Lesedi Kapinga after replacing Gastro Sirino, scored the third goal of the Sundowns.

As if that was not enough, Hlompho Kekana made his presence felt too with a cracker goal after being on the pitch as a substitute to Lebohang Maboe. Sundowns kept on playing good football throughout the season.
