Fifty-three more people died of Coronavirus in South Africa over the last 24 hours, bringing the total deaths to 53 226. Gauteng recorded 11 deaths, Free State 12, Northern Cape 10, Western Cape 16 , Limpopo 2 and KwaZulu-Natal 2.
The tests conducted to date is 10 086 459. The recovery now stands at 1 481 637 which translates to a 95% recovery rate.
People are urged to continue adhering to the health protocols put in place: washing hands with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitiser and always maintain social distance.
