The Police in Limpopo are hard at work to track down the suspects involved in the killing of a 29 year old taxi driver in Mokopane. and the other two unknown men in Mahwelereng on Sunday,04 April 2021. It is alleged that on Sunday, 04 April 2021, at about 20:30, a taxi driver was shot dead by unknown suspects at a guest house in Mokopane town, while in his rented room.

Limpopo Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe said on the same night(04 April 2021) at about 21:00, in the Mahwelereng policing area, two unknown men were travelling on a minibus taxi when they were allegedly ambushed, shot and killed by unknown suspects who immediately fled the scene.

“The motives behind the two incidents are still unknown but the taxi-related conflict may not be ruled out.” Said Ngoepe.

The Provincial Police Commissioner Nneke Ledwaba has ordered the implementation of the 72-hour activation plan for the arrest of the suspects involved in the two incidents.

Ngoepe said the suspects involved in these incidents are still unknown and there is no arrest.

The Police are appealing to anyone with information that can assist them to arrest the perpetrator(s) involved in these incidents, to contact Lieutenant Colonel Richard Boshomane on 079 894 5501 or Detective Sergeant Chabane Matjeke on 082 414 5958.

The Police investigations are still underway.
