Fourty seven people died of Coronavirus in South Africa over the last 24 hours, bringing the total deaths to 52 710. Gauteng recorded 15 deaths, Eastern Cape 3, Free State 2, Western Cape 3 and North West 23.
The tests conducted to date is 9 819 994 with 216 123 tests completed since the last report.
The recovery now stands at 1 472 645 which translates to a 95% recovery rate.
People are urged to continue adhering to the health protocols put in place: washing hands with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitiser and always maintain social distance.
The number of health care workers vaccinated under the Sisonke protocol as of Monday 29 March 2021 is 239 665.
