Sixty-seven people died of Coronavirus in South Africa over the last 24 hours, bringing the total deaths to 52 602. Gauteng recorded 23 deaths, KwaZulu-Natal 9, Eastern Cape 3, Free State 3, Western Cape 3 and Limpopo 17.
The tests conducted to date is 9 752 061 with 29 240 new tests recorded since the last report.
The recovery now stands at 1 469 565 which translates to a 95% recovery rate.
People are urged to continue adhering to the health protocols put in place: washing hands with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitiser and always maintain social distance.
The number of health care workers vaccinated under the Sisonke protocol as of Friday 26 March 2021 is 231 002.
