The first Black Business Summit aimed at forging ties between South Africa and the United States of American black entrepreneurs will be held on Tuesday, 23 March 2021. The event will be held virtually under the theme: “Building and connecting businesses for inclusive growth and prosperity.”
The summit will promote inclusive growth and prosperity, and ensure that black-owned businesses in South Africa and the U.S. are cooperating amongst themselves in bilateral trade of products and services and investment.
A Spokesperson for the Department of Trade, Industry, Sidwell Medupe said this inaugural summit is “borne out of a partnership between the South African Embassy in Washington DC, the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic), U.S. Department of Commerce Minority Business Development Agency, the US’s National Business League (NBL) and the and South Africa’s Black Business Council (BBC) and US’s B&C International”.
