Ninenty five people died of Coronavirus in South Africa over the last 24 hours, bringing the total deaths to 51 110. Gauteng recorded 25 deaths, KwaZulu-Natal 6, Eastern Cape 5, Free State 21, Western Cape 11, Limpopo 10 and Northern Cape 2.
The tests conducted to date is 9 369 594 with 33 493 new tests recorded since the last report.
The recovery now stands at 1 447 503 which translates to a 94% recovery rate.
People are urged to continue adhering to the health protocols put in place: washing hands with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitiser and always maintain social distance.
The health department said the number of health workers vaccinated under the Sisonke protocol is 138 014 as of 6: 30 pm on 11 March 2021.
