The Inkatha Freedom Party says it has learnt of the tragic passing of its Councillor in Mandeni, KwaZulu-Natal, last week Friday.
ILembe District secretary Makhosonke Ntuli said Councillor Sbani Robert Mdletshe was shot to death as he was about to enter the Spar supermarket in Mandeni. Mdletshe was first elected as a Councillor in 2016.
“As the IFP in ILembe District, together with the Mandeni constituency, we convey our deepest condolences to the family of Mdletshe and to the IFP as a whole, especially in Mandeni where he was serving as a Councillor.”Said Ntuli.
The party said it lost a servant leader who was fully committed and always had the best interests of the community at heart.
Mdletshe will be buried in Mandeni on Sunday 14 March 2021. Police investigations are continuing
