President of ActionSA Herman Mashaba will on Sunday, 14 February visit Batshilu Private hospital in Soshanguve to launch the #ThankOurHeroes Campaign.
ActionSA national spokesperson Lerato Ngobeni said the primary aim of the campaign is to galvanise all South Africans in recognising in incredible work done by all essential personnel who have worked tirelessly since the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ngobeni said while medical professionals have been at a forefront against the pandemic, ActionSA recognises that there are multiple categories of workers who too have demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to keeping essential services in operation.
“The taxi drives who continued to brave the early morning to get our nurses to work before dawn. The security guards and cleaning staff who have protected and kept out hospitals clean.The cooks who have provided food and nourishment to patients throughout the country”
Mashaba will be joined by Gauteng Provincial Manager of Operations, Abel Tau and Gauteng Provincial Chairperson John Moodey.
