Three hundred and ninety-six people have died In South Africa after contracting the corona virus, bringing the total number of deaths to 46 869.
Gauteng recorded 81 deaths, Kwa Zulu Natal 85, Mpumalanga 18, Limpopo 118 , Eastern Cape 20 , Western Cape 65 and Northern Cape 3 and Free State 6.
Recoveries stand at 1 367 247, which translates to a 92% recovery rate. People are urged to observe health protocols put in place: washing hands regularly with soap and water or sanitiser, wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing.
