After being knocked out of Nedbank Cup tournament by Richards Bay FC in the last 32 games, Kaizer Chiefs has reshaped their target to the CAF Champions League where they will be playing against Morocco side, Wydad Casablanca.

The match will take place at Mohammed V Stadium Casablanca on Saturday evening at 21:00 South African time.

Amakhosi will fly to Morocco on Wednesday for their first-ever Champions League Group Stage game.

In a statement, the club said “Chiefs will jet out of Johannesburg heading to North Africa via Western Asia, flying from O.R Tambo International and should reach the Moroccan city on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean on Thursday afternoon.”

Standing in the way of Amakhosi in the Group C are Wydad Casablanca, Guinean side Horoya and Angolan team Petro de Luanda.

However, Chiefs is no stranger to Morocco, their first was in 2015 to face Raja Casablanca in the first round of CAF Champions League.

Coach Gavin Hunt has picked up his soldiers for Saturday’s game. Some players are left to be dealing with DStv Premiership League games back at home.

The selected players to Morocco are as follows:

Willard Katsande, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo, Darrel Matsheke, Dumsani Zuma, Philani Zulu

Forwards:

Leonardo Castro, Samir Nurković, Bernard Parker.
