Manhunt for a man who allegedly shot and killed his second wife

The Police in Malamulele outside Giyani, are still continuing with the manhunt for a 63-year-old man who allegedly shot and killed his 55-yea old wife on Saturday 06 February 2021 at Mbhalati village.

Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said a quarrel reportedly ensued between the suspect and his second wife, Tsakani Joyce Maswanganyi at about 19h30. The suspect then produced his licensed firearm and shot the deceased several times.

“The police were called and on arrival, the suspect had already fled from the scene. The firearm that was allegedly used in the murder, was found and confiscated.”

Moatshe added that the preliminary police investigations revealed that the motive for the incident may be related to domestic violence.

Limpopo Police Commissioner Nneke Ledwaba condemned this incident and has since directed that the suspect be hunted down until he is brought to book.
