Orlando Pirates has collected three points from Soweto rival Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday afternoon in the DStv Premiership League at Orlando Stadium.
Lebogang Manyama had clear chances to put Chiefs in front but could not take them. It was Thembonkosi Lorch who only used the chance in the first half Pirates created and scored the first goal.
The Buccanneers managed to get a second goal through a super sub Siphesihle Ndlovu. However, before that, Chiefs missed a penalty after Happy Mashiane was brought down in the box. Samir Nurkovic took the penalty but failed to scored, Siyabonga Ngezana could not score from the rebound.
Chiefs’ coach Gavin Hunt said his side should have won the game as they created many chances. He further said he is disappointed with the results.
Lorch was awarded man of the match and Pirates trashed Chiefs 2-1.
