Six hundred and eighty people have died In South Africa after contracting corona virus, bringing the total number of deaths to 41 797 .
Gauteng recorded 141 deaths, Kwa Zulu Natal 306 , Mpumalanga 18 , Limpopo 4, Western Cape 95 and Northern Cape 2 and Free State 28.
Recoveries stand at 1 254 674, which translates to 88%. People are urged to observe health protocols put in place: washing hands regularly with soap and water or sanitiser, wearing a mask and maintaining social distance
