Swallows FC’s record of 23 games unbeaten is still intact in the DStv Premiership League as The Dube Birds showed a character and draw against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday at the Lucas Masterpieces Stadium.
The last second goal from Musa Nyathama saw Swallows snitching a point from Sundowns. The Tshwane side Kabo Yellow led the game from the first half, courtesy of Kermit Erasmus. However, the defending champions could not defend their lead until Nyathama scored in the last second of the game.
The two teams came into this afternoon’s game with 26 points each and the game ended in 1 all. This makes the Sundowns to be on top of the log with 27 points while Swallows on the second position with 27 points, only goal differences separate the two.
The Dube Birds is no stranger for such a come back, the same happened against Soweto giant Orlando Pirates and the Birds scored scored just in the last second.
Swallows is the only team currently in the league that remains unbeaten with 23 games played.
