Seven hundred and fifty-five people have died in South Africa after contracting coronavirus, Eastern Cape 134, Free State 26, Gauteng 225, Kwa-Zulu Natal 218, Limpopo 11, Mpumalanga 11, Northern Cape 2 and Western Cape 128.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 34 334. A total of 1 259 748 COVID-19 cases have been identified with 13 105 new cases identified since the last report.
So far, 1 019 123 people have recovered and this translates to 81% recovery rate.
People are urged to observe the health measures put in place, wearing masks, maintaining social distancing and to wash hash with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitiser.
