Three people have lost their lives while four are critically injured following an accident involving a minibus taxi and an ambulance on the R81 and Siyandhani Cross road in Mopani district municipality in Limpopo this morning.
It is alleged that a speeding taxi driver did not stop at the traffic lights and collided with an ambulance. Taxi driver and two of his passengers were certified dead on the scene.
The provincial department of Transport and community said “reckless and negligent driving is cited as a possible cause of the accident”.
