Four hundred and thirty-four people have died after contracting coronavirus, Eastern Cape 133, Free State 2, Gauteng 36, Kwa-Zulu Natal 71, Limpopo 7, Northwest 25, Northern Cape 3 and Western Cape 157.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 related deaths to 30 011.
A total of 1 113 349 COVID-19 cases have been identified with 12 601 new cases since the last report.
So far, 911 573 people have recovered and this translates to 81.9% recovery rate.
People are urged to observe the health measures put in place, wearing masks, maintaining social distancing and to wash hash with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitiser.
