A professional nurse Susan Mulaudzi stationed at Elim hospital lost her life a day after Christmas while on her way to work, when her car was hit by a taxi.
It is alleged that a 26-year-old taxi driver, together with other four occupants were from Asawa tavern at Ha-Masakona village where they spent the entire night drinking alcohol.
The Limpopo health MEC Phophi Ramathuba said people came back from Gauteng and instead of spending time with their families at home, they went on a drinking spree the entire night and now they have taken a life of a valuable person.
She further said that they will make sure justice is served on this case. “People must be arrested, not only did they undermine curfew regulations but their arrogance and stubbornness has robbed us a life of a life saver,” said angry MEC after visiting staff at Elim hospital to provide them with counselling and support.
Mulaudzi leaves behind her two children and her husband who is a Radiographer at Elim hospital.
MEC Ramathuba sent messages of condolences to her family, friends and colleagues on this unacceptable loss.
